RAM Price Tracker
Up to a decade of price history on DDR5 and DDR4 kits, with live Amazon and Newegg prices side by side.
Is RAM expensive right now?
Yes, and not marginally. Both DDR5 and DDR4 are up more than 90% year over year across the products tracked here, and neither has given the rise back. The market has not returned to its pre-2026 pricing, so the question worth asking is not whether prices are high but whether the one you are looking at is fairly priced against the rest. Every card below carries its price per gigabyte for exactly that comparison.
